The Wanderers

What do you do when you learn your family is the one who's holding all the secrets. Secrets that could get you killed...

Ella is looking forward to starting college in the fall with her best friend Josie. She’s looking for a place where she can get away from her overbearing parents and two older annoying brothers. Unfortunately Ella realizes that sometimes the past comes back to haunt you.
Ella soon learns that the man who terrorizes her dreams is in fact real and coming after her.
When one of her classmates is murdered, Ella slowly recognizes this is not some strange coincidence. Ella fears that the boy she’s falling in love with is the one who stalks her dreams and no longer knows who she can trust.
When she finally learns the truth of her families deepest secret, Ella has to face her demons by taking out one of the people she thought she could trust…before they kill her.

Reborn

Ella finally knows what she is, but now she’s not so sure she knows who she is.
With Jack still on the loose her parents have her confined to the house leaving Ella to feel like she’s stuck in a prison. Coping with the loss of her best friend and the love of her life, Ella feels trapped in an endless cycle of torment. She feels she’s doomed to lose everyone she loves. In attempt to keep her safe and help her understand her new life her parents decide that what’s best for her is to go back to school, but not just any school.
Ella’s not alone though. The school is filled with students who are just like her, including her brother Dean. Her mission is to keep herself blended in the background and out of trouble, but unfortunately Ella isn’t that lucky. With the roommate from hell, her brother constantly breathing down her neck, and being pinned right away as the outcast, Ella wants nothing more than to just crawl under a rock for the rest of her life. Even the school’s sweetheart has it in for her.
Can she overcome her fear of the unknown? Will she ever learn to accept who she is? The most important thing Ella is concerned about is just surviving the semester at Hamilton Hill.

Unforgiven

All it took was three magical words…
Tristan…is…alive.
Ella knew leaving was wrong. She knew there would be consequences but what was at stake was far more important than anything she could have done if she stayed. She just had to see for herself.
Ella also knows Josie’s time is limited. With the help of her friends, Ella takes off and introduces herself to a foreign land. She hoped to keep her whereabouts a secret but it isn’t long before her father discovers where she is and threatens to take her back kicking and screaming. Things quickly go awry and Ella finds more than what she was looking for in her search for Tristan.
Ella knows eventually she must return home and face the aftermath of her sudden departure. But her head and heart aren’t sure they can handle it.
Will Roman forgive her? Will Gabe and the rest of her friends hate her for abandoning them in their time of need?

Book 1 - The Wanderers
Woo! What a ride!
Ella is an 18 year old from California, getting over the death of her high school sweetheart in a tragic car accident. She's off to college in Vermont to get a fresh start with her best friend Josie as her room mate. They settle in well, even joining a sorority and making new friends and drawing the attention of 2 guys; the reserved and nerdy Jack, and the naughty frat boy Tristan who won't take no for an answer. Ella starts to fall for Tristan but it's a love/hate relationship. Ella is also plagued by nightmares that have haunted her since the accident. Then there is a murder on campus and all hell breaks loose. Ella discovers she is a half-vampire, a Wanderer, and ends up losing more loved ones as her nightmares become reality.
As soon as I finished reading this first book in the series, I emailed the author requesting the next 2 books in the series to review if she was willing because I HAD to know what was going to happen next. I went to bed, woke up in the morning and the "little beauty" had sent them to me and I've already finished the second book! (Staying up until 2am reading a few nights in a row isn't ideal, I might add!) I'm hanging to get into the third!
This is not just another teen vampire book (which I didn't actually realise it was until I reached that part of the book!). It has all the same elements as all the others but something a little more that I can't quite put my finger on. Suffice to say I found it addictive!
In all honesty, it started a little slow but once it got "there", it got there!
I found the main character Ella a little frustrating at times- her attitude, her temper and irrational behaviour p-ed me off a bit but admittedly, she had totally drawn the short straw with her life and she was dealing with it the way she knew best. So I cut her some slack.
Tristen... *sigh* What a hottie! This guy has some pretty special charisma working for him. His pursuit of Ella was the most enjoyable part of the story for me. I was giggling like a school girl from his naughtiness, I LOVED it!!
I'm a sucker for College life! I love the atmosphere having only experienced it in American movies. It fascinates me and sounds like so much fun! I also liked the peak into the lives of extremely privileged people.
I have to admit, there were moments in this book that reminded me of other YA paranormal books that I've read, but this one had it's own signature and has a more adult feel to it. The Wanderers has a fantastic plot with plenty of drama, comedy, romance, intrigue and action.

Book 2- Reborn
Book 2 in The Wanderers series was kick-@ss!! I read it while doing the dishes. That's how bad I couldn't put it down!
Ella's reeling from the brutal murders of her best friend and boyfriend. To deal with her grief she goes on a tattoo spree and p's off her parents pretty bad so they're sending her off to a private boarding school for the supernatural to help her learn more about being a Wanderer, about her royal lineage and to keep her safe from Jack, the rogue vampire who murdered her loved ones and wants to drain her of her powers.
She has a rough start but soon makes some friends and again, finds herself torn between to 2 guys, Aidan the temporary principal, and Roman the sexy Irish guy that everyone loves. Ella starts self defense training to be prepared to defend herself when the time comes. She also makes an enemy that will stoop to anything to make Ella miserable. When word comes in that Jack is close by and is recruiting an army, Ella has to step up to try and save her new friends from the massacre that is predicted to come.
Hi! My name's Skylar, and I'm addicted to The Wanderers series! For real!!!! Even as I'm typing this, I'm thinking of book 3 just sitting on my kindle bookshelf, calling me, waiting for me to devour it! So excuse me if this is a little short!
Ella is a still infuriating with her mood swings. I wanted to slap her around the head a little if I'm honest! But she is who she is and I just go with the flow. Her chemistry with Roman was hot! He is lovely, and I tried so hard to read him with an Irish accent!
I thoroughly enjoyed the boarding school atmosphere and what would a school be without a group of nasty bitchy rich snobs who like to make other girl's lives miserable?!l
What I love about the concept is that it keeps supernatural lovers happy with the combo of vampires, witches/warlocks, angels and werewolves! What an intoxicating combination! With it's stellar storyline full to the brim with drama, comedy, action, intrigue, romance... Oh my!
This book was graciously given to me in exchange for an honest review.

Book3- Unforgiven
An extremely addictive third part to the Wanderers series that has left me absolutely hanging for more! It's been a while since I was this invested in a series!
Ella with a select few, fly off to Ireland in search of Tristan, who she has been tipped off that he is still alive. After an exciting time, a beautiful reunion and devastating break up, she flies home to sort out her family, school and boyfriend #2 problems. Nothing ever seems to go to plan for Ella but things start to look up with her and Roman getting back together, her Angel friends coming back to earth and other new supernatural students starting the new school year, including the mysterious Lucas. Ella starts having nightmares again and hallucinations....or so she hopes. With a big surprise at the end and a BLOODY cliffhanger (Grrr!), I'm not giving anymore away, suffice to say... "Gimme, gimme, gimme MORE!!!!"
This one is a little more grown-up than the other two books with a little more adult themes involved, which I must say were written really well; giving you the juicy details, without the juicy details...does that make sense? Lol
This installment has the same intrigue, action, romance and magic as the other two books and leaving story developments to come in the next book! YAY!
Ella has got a crap-load of maturing to do. She is quite childish for a 19 year old (or as I remember it); her reactions to events and the way she treats some people isn't very nice. This is her personality though, and I'm learning to accept it and not to hold a grudge!
I can't help feel bad for Roman! The poor guy just keeps getting screwed over, which makes me angry with Ella!
Tristan is lovely as always, (who am I kidding? Both Tristan and Roman are lovely!) but we get to see him at his worst, and see him fight for the one he loves. I'm team Tristan/Roman, just incase you were wondering. Why can't Ella have her cake and eat it too?! ;D
I'd love to see this series professionally published with proper editing (which would be a great improvement and my only criticism for the whole series so far).
I think this could be the next big YA phenomenon. So let's make this happen peeps! Ok?!
I can't wait for book 4!

The Wanderers Beginning The Wanderers Reborn Unforgiven edition by Jessica Miller Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews

This series 'Wanderers' is added to one of my favorites. With 'The Wanderers Beginning, Books 1-3' I was pulled in from the first book, 'The Wanderers', and was kept glued to the pages of 'Reborn' and 'Unforgiven'. The storyline was incredibly creative. Packed full of action, drama, romance, mystery and humor. Plus there are some hot and steamy scenes, which for me is always a bonus. I loved it. The way the books played out was intriguing. I already knew Ella would survive and surpass expectations because she, after all, is the main lead. I love her humor and she keeps getting more bad-ass in each book as the series goes on. I'm still unsure who will win Ella's heart, Tristin or Roman. I love the characters. They are definitely a colorful group. I can't wait for the next book to come out. A great add to your tbr list. Recommended read.
This is my 2nd book to read from Jessica Miller. The first was '500 days' which i really enjoyed and could not put down... other than having to keep all the kids in the family straight (they had a bunch) haha! they did have like 5 kids and it was a good book.
When Jessica had this series up on good reads I just had to check it out, it sounded so good, and boy was I correct!! WOW! It has been awhile since I have read a REALLY GOOD 'PARANORMAL ROMANCE BOOK' AND REALLY ENJOYED IT!!!!!
I began book one and could not put them down!!
So in a nut shell you have this family ''The McCallister's... Ella is the only girl and the youngest of two older brothers.. Xander, and Dean.

Ella has been very sheltered her entire life.. between her overprotective father and mother but also her two brothers. Ella has never been able to catch a break, she is constantly watched! not to mention, she also has had more to deal with than alot of kids would go through... she had a rough go things in her teenage years, first the terrible heartbreak she had to endure with her highschool sweetheart, Kyle. Then Ella begins to have terrible dreams of someone with glowing eyes after her, she doesn't know what is going on - she talks to her best friend, Josie. Ella and Josie are like sisters and tell each other everything and not judge! they even go off to college together, end up being roommates. Josie is very outgoing and lives life as it comes and goes with the flow. Ella is more cautious and doesn't let others influence her.
Well, Josie and Ella moved into the dorms and Josie wants to join a sorority and Ella holds off as long as she can. Ella meets a couple guys, Jack whom she considers a nice guy and a friend. Then there is another whom she is drawn to and she doesn't know why, she knows she shouldn't be... Triston. He is everything Ella is NOT.. he lives on the wild side, drinks, smokes, playboy, wild, yet when the two meet there is a pull that can not stop them from each other, Ella tries so hard, yet Triston is so insistent and pursues Ella until she goes on a date with him. Ella in the mean time, has Josie taking her to the final dance to see if the girls want to join the sorority (so Josie tells Ella) - As it turns out it is the girls being announced who made the cut and is in the sorority... Ella is chosen along with Josie... and their 'brother fraternity' is where Triston is and very involved. Everybody loves him. (but Ella).
The date comes around and Ella sees a different side to triston and she begins to fall for him HARD!! however, he just believes he is NOT good enough for Ella.. she deserves somebody better... so he leaves and she is crushed.. so she and Jack become close and he asks her out yet, she doesn't like him in that way, but feels she owes him a date...
This is the beginning where everybody and everything she has ever known is NOT what it seems. Jack turns on Ella and his eyes begin to glow and he begins to attack her in her dorm room.. luckily josie is trying to get into her room and ella screams, and that is when Triston breaks the door down and Jack and Triston begin to fight like animals... Ella can't believe what she is seeing... So in the first book a lot happens where Ella finds out she is super natural from Triston and has many powers.. but they have not fully developed yet... So her parents come to her school and Ella and josie find out who and what they are...
major things happen in this book even friends lives are lost.. so more of Ella's life is shattered once again. (won't tell anymore there.. can't spoil all that)

The 2nd book is getting her powers and doesn't know how to control them they are so powerful and her father and mother make a deal with her that she attends the supernatural school for kids like her... and it is suppose to be very safe and nobody should be able to attack her or the school. Ella just couldn't take loosing anymore friends, so she tries hard to stay to herself and not get close to anyone, because she knows someone is trying to kill her and she can't afford one of her friends lives to be jeopardized because of her... yet, once again.. Ella has this pull and she can't help but watch a boy, Roman. Roman is not nice to Ella at first yet once they begin their training and also they get paired up in several classes, they just can't help but act upon their feelings.
Ella is beginning to get stronger every day and she has learned her family is some kind of royalty and she has generations of supernatural blood running through her and she must learn how to control it, because when she gets mad, it get's out of control and so she begins working with one of her teachers to help her understand her new powers.. then once again, they find out the school is being threatened and coming for Ella... this time they are prepared.. so they think... Ella fights this time and she is able to save her friends yet some students and guardians get killed and others hurt, but one thing she learns is Triston is a live (as she was lead to believe he was dead all this time, and now she loves Roman yet she also loves Triston and she must find him, so she and her friend Cameron along with her brother, Dean and Billy oh yes and JOsie leave for ireland.... Roman is lost and hurt and torn up!!

Bk 3 The book has a lot of twists in this one, and so much is revealed and they search and search for Triston.. they do end up finding him, yet he looks awful and they have to help him as he thought Ella had died so he was a broken man stumbling through each day without a reason... his love is dead... well once again, Ella and Triston just can not stay away from one another and spend each day together and she feels guilty about Roman, but this is Triston!! then once again the day before they are suppose to head home - Triston once again, feels unworthy and cameron .. who is friends with Roman and Ella explains to Triston she has a life with a good guy that will do good to her and he leaves again... Ella is crushed and so mad ...
Then they go back to the school where they have to meet up with all their friends and yes.... ROMAN' (that is a rough one!)
well we are left with a cliffhanger on bk 3 ... Ella kills one of the bad guys and Triston comes back and Roman and Triston meet face to face (oh dear, the drama that causes) ... this is an absolutely great series.. and I hope I was able to give everyone a peak into each book and enough to entice you to try these books... they are soo good!!! it is borderline steamy.. it is NOT erotica, I would say 17+ yet it is enough to enjoy ... it is a fun, sweet unconditional love story that will tug at your heart one minute and tick you off the next.. and each character in this book has something of their own going on... it is something else!! you must read these you won't be sorry!!
I usually do not give 5 stars unless it makes my toes curl-not that type of book. I could not put it down, happy that I purchased all 3nat same time. Awesome job Jennifer.
